wolf trap seating chart

Events at the Wolf Trap are held across 4 locations; the Filene Center, where summer performances are held, the Barns, a slightly smaller venue for year-round performances, the Children’s Theatre-in-the-woods, and the Center for Education.

The Filene Center is a stunning outdoor amphitheater, built of Douglas Fir and Southern Yellow Pine to blend seamlessly with its natural environment. Around half of the 7,000 seats are under cover, with open sides that look out to the stunning views of the natural park setting. The remaining uncovered seats are situated on a sloping lawn.

The Barns is in fact two 18th-century barns, joined together to create an incredibly unique performance venue. With 382 seats – 284 on the threshing floor and another 98 in the hayloft – it gives audiences an intimate experience in the summer months with the Wolf Trap Opera, and throughout the rest of the year hosts every genre from jazz, to acoustic performances, to chamber music.
