Brothers Josh and Sam Teskey began performing as a duo in 2008. They self released their debut EP 2012. But it wasn’t until 2017, with the drop of their debut album Half Mile Harvest that they achieved their incredible breakthrough. The record entered the Australian and New Zealand charts and gained outstanding traction with singles “Pain and Misery” and “Louisa.” In 2020, the band released a live album, Live at the Forum, and soared to number 1 on the charts. This career defining effort was followed by another chart topping work, The Winding Way, released in 2023.
Indie folk powerhouse The Paper Kites released their debut single, “Bloom,” and made their breakthrough in various markets, including the U.S. earning platinum status. The Paper Kites then followed their work with tremendous hits like “Paint,” “Featherstone,” and “Woodland.” The band released a total of six studio albums, five of which earned incredible chart performances in their home country and the U.S.
