Joe Bonamassa & Gov’t Mule at Wolf Trap

Co-headlining Summer 2026 Tour

Two of the biggest names in blues and rock today will join together to bring you a night of outstanding music, the unparalleled Joe Bonamassa and the dynamic Southern Rock super group Gov’t Mule. This unique and compelling co-headlining tour comes to the outstanding Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, performing a 7:30 PM show. 

Joe Bonamassa

Joe Bonamassa is a blues fan's dream come true. Known for being one of the greatest guitarists of this generation, he has played in front of many large crowds and in many iconic venues. Even at the tender age of 12 he was playing in front of B.B. King and this event marked the beginning of his illustrious career. With his most recent album ‘Breakthrough’ (2025) Bonamassa is really showcasing his musical growth as an artist and how far he has come.

As the record holder for the most No. 1 blues albums by a single artist with an impressive 29 under his belt as well as holding 5 Grammy nominations the blues-rock superstar is clearly a force to be reckoned with. Bonamassa started playing guitar at a very young age; and he has managed to record over 50 albums. These include solo work as well as collaborative efforts with other artists. He even has his own record label, J&R Adventures, where he releases his solo work as well as other projects he finds of interest.

Gov't Mule

Government Mule, known for their creative blend of Blues, Rock, and Improvisational Music, is considered to be carrying the torch of great Rock Music of the past while producing a multitude of original songs and music. Their large repertoire of over 150 songs, (including many extended versions of their strongest material), have provided the basis for some of their most memorable and exciting performances to date.

Lead singer/guitarist/songwriter, Warren Haynes, is also a founding member of the Allman Brothers Band as well as The Dead. He created Government Mule with longtime bassist Allen Woody and drummer Matt Abts with the intent to play as a power Trio in the tradition of great Rock Trios of the past such as The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Cream, and The Grateful Dead.

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts Information

Wolf Trap National Park for the Performing Arts is located at 1551 Trap Road in Vienna, VA 22182. The performances for this concert will take place at the Filene Center on 117 acres of parkland that is the nation’s only national park dedicated to the performing arts. There are 7,000 covered seats at the Filene Center as well as lawn seating.

Food and a variety of dining options are available at the Filene Center or visitors can bring their own food, beverages (with or without alcohol) and supplies. Parking Information

Free parking for this show will be given on a first come first serve basis. In addition to that there are numerous lots in downtown Vienna and within a few blocks walking from the Filene Center. Many of the venues in downtown will be unlocked and open for parking in addition to street parking throughout the town. There will be no shuttle service from the venues in downtown Vienna to Wolf Trap but there are many additional lots right near the venue.
