Grammy, BAFTA, Academy, and Golden Globe Award winning singer-songwriter Jon Batiste has done exemplary work as a solo artist and as a composer for various medias. In 2005, he released his debut effort, Times in New Orleans, which was dropped independenlty relying on online music platforms and local radio and gigs to spread his music. In 2103, he signed with Razor & Tie and released his third album Social Music which he performed with band Stay Human. The album went to number 1 on Billboard's Jazz chart. In 2021, his album We Are made its outstanding breakthrough, charting across various countries, including landing 25 on the Billboard 200 chart. In addition to his contemporary work, Jon Batiste also records and performs instrumental work. He's slated to release Monk Movements (Batiste Piano Series, Vol. 4) this 2026.
The National Symphony Orchestra is an orchestral company based in Washington D.C. The ensemble is led by Gianandrea Noseda who has been serving as music director since 2017. The NSO is most known for performing in national state affairs, presidential inaugurations, and tons more higly prestigious events. The symphony performs a total of 175 (more or less) concerts each year in a 52 week season.
